In the following conditions; ”the photographer" shall mean Lori Young (trading as Lori Young Photography) or any photographer(s) appointed by Lori Young.  "The Client(s)" shall be those whose name(s) appear on the contract. If the Client(s) arranges for a third party to meet the costs of this contract, the contract remains with the client(s). The due performance of the contract is subject to the conditions below. These cannot be varied in any way by the Client(s) unless such conditions are expressly agreed by the photographer in writing.

Terms & Conditions

The Client(s) hereby grants the photographer to display any images covered by this contract and to generally promote the business in advertising, brochures, magazine articles, websites, sample albums and prints, venue, and other vendor samples, and other such material, providing that the images used are used lawfully and without damage to the Client(s).
Images placed in password-protected galleries within the website are not available to the general public in the normal course of events.

a) The photographer shall be granted an artistic license in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used.
The Photographer’s judgment regarding the chosen location(s), poses, and the number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct.
b)The Photographer cannot be held responsible for any images deemed unsatisfactory if the Client(s) has taken creative control of any such element of their booking. This includes location(s), timings and other variables.
c) Photographs taken during the course of the booking will be at the discretion of the photographer although every effort will be made to comply with The Client(s) requirements.
Should the Client(s) wish to receive specific photographs focusing on certain details/events/individuals, this should be made clear to the Photographer prior to the day.
d.) The Photographer retains the right of discretion in selecting the photographic materials released to the Client(s) and has full control over the selection of images chosen for processing and how they are processed. Only edited images will be delivered.
e) RAW files/photos are not available to the Client(s) under any circumstances.
f) Due to a variety of lighting/weather conditions, some colours may alter throughout a set of photographs.
g.) The Client(s) acknowledges that the work delivered will be of a similar style and calibre to those photographs as displayed by the Photographer.
Lori Young Photography retains the right to make adjustments to the photographs in post-processing as deemed within their creative control.
h) Although all equipment is checked and serviced regularly, and reasonable steps are taken to ensure backup equipment is available, the Photographer will not be responsible for photographs that are not produced due to technical failure, either at the shooting or processing stage.

Lori Young Photography has made all prices available to view within their ‘Investment Guides’ and other promotional material, both in print and online.
a) Prices may change from time to time, but this will not affect contracts that have previously come into force. (Any additional product pricing will be quoted correctly at the time of ordering.)
b) All amounts and prices stated by Lori Young Photography are fully inclusive, and no additional VAT is payable unless otherwise stated.
c) It is possible that prices detailed within promotional material may have been incorrectly quoted. Accordingly, the Photographer will verify all prices at the start of the booking process so that the correct price will be notified to you before any contract comes into force.
d) Discounted offers are only available to new bookings and discounts may not be applied to services already scheduled.
e)A non-refundable retainer along with a completed booking form and contract will confirm your booking. Your booking is NOT secured without these. The retainer forms part of the total cost of the fee (i.e. it is NOT in addition to the cost of the fee) and is deducted when calculating the final balance.
f) The retainer may only be refunded to the Client(s) during a 14 days “cooling off” period calculated from the date of payment.
g) Payment for the services booked is due in full NO LATER THAN FOUR WEEKS prior to the contracted date. Non-receipt of the full balance by the due date will be deemed cancellation of the contract by the Client(s).
h) All additional goods must be paid for in full upon ordering. This includes extra prints, albums, special editing, gallery archival fees, high-resolution long-term galleries, and any other services ordered after your booking date.
i) Title to all goods remains with Lori Young / Lori Young Photography until paid for in full by the Client(s).
j) Please note that any alterations made to the booking by the Client(s) once details have been confirmed may only be made at the discretion of the Photographer and in some circumstances (such as the change of ceremony date for a wedding) the photographer may be unable to accommodate these alterations due to a conflict of commitments. Under these circumstances, the photographer is not liable to compensate the Client(s) in any way whatsoever.

a) The due performance of the contract is subject to alteration or cancellation by the Photographer owing to any cause beyond their reasonable control (e.g sudden illness/injury/victim of crime, flooding).
b.) Should the Client(s) booking be cancelled, postponed or otherwise adversely impacted as a result of a Force Majeure event, there shall be no refunds for payments already received by Lori Young Photography. The Photographer will, however, use all reasonable efforts to work with the Client(s) to fulfil the booking at a later date if necessary. Subject to the photographer's availability, a substitute representative may be provided and present on behalf of Lori Young Photography on the Client(s) rescheduled date.
c) If the Photographer is too ill or becomes injured and cannot supply the photography services booked by the Client(s), Lori Young Photography will seek to book a replacement photographer to carry out the services outlined within the Client(s) booking. However, it may prove difficult or impossible to find a skilled replacement photographer at short notice or at the same price.
d) In the event of total photographic failure, cancellation of the contract by the Photographer, or if a replacement photographer cannot be found, liability shall be limited to a full refund of any deposits and fees paid by the Client(s).
 e) Lori Young Photography has working methods in place to prevent the loss or damage to your images, however, there is the unlikely possibility that images may be lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons beyond the Photographer’s control. In these circumstances liability is limited to the return of fees paid for the service booked or part thereof according to the percentage of images supplied.

a)Photographs shall be kept for one (1) year from the date of delivery of the Client(s) online gallery.
b) Client(s) are solely responsible for making back-ups of their photos. Should any digital media be lost, damaged, or destroyed the Photographer holds no responsibility.
In some instances galleries/photos can be replaced, however, this will be subject to an archival fee which the Client(s) will be required to cover.
c) All media is erased 12 months (1 year) after the booking date. Image files, prints, or anything other such product will not be available after this time.
d) No refunds will be available on products ordered, as they are customised to the Client(s) request.

If the Client(s) choose to cancel their booking after the 14-day cooling-off period, as stated within the contract and the above Terms and Conditions, the retainer is non-refundable.
If the Client(s) cancel their booking within one (1) month of the contracted date services are to be carried out and full payment has already been made, a refund of full payment will only be made available should Lori Young Photography manage to rebook the date.

Lori Young / Lori Young Photography may store your data on a private internal database. This data will not be made available to any outside companies or individuals. Should you wish to have your data removed from the database, please advise in writing and retain your confirmation.

Any contract made between the Photographer and the Client(s)
shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and the parties hereto submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

INITIAL CONSULTATION
Carried out at the time of booking; the Client(s) will outline their requirements and the Photographer will advise on planning, logistics and timings where necessary. If required, an additional consultation may be carried out nearer the wedding date to go over any additional details. The Photographer will then follow up with the Client(s) one (1) week before the wedding date to re-confirm that there have been no last-minute changes.
It is also advisable that the Client(s) take out an insurance policy to cover any loss of expenses due to cancellation (especially in the event of a Force Majure event).

COOPERATION
Along with the Photographer, the Client(s) agree to politely cooperate and communicate with one another in a bid to achieve the best possible results within the understanding and parameters of the contract.

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIERS
a) Lori Young / the Photographer representing Lori Young Photography is the only authorised photographer for the day. Other professional photographers are not permitted whether official or otherwise (e.g. separately employed by the Client(s) parents, contracted by magazines or newspapers, etc), that is unless previously agreed upon in writing before the day. Breach of this condition shall be deemed cancellation of the contract by the Client(s).
b) Please be aware that Photographers’ movements are sometimes limited by rules imposed by registrars/ministers/venue management. The area from which the photographer is able to cover the ceremony may not be the photographer’s choice and therefore cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed views should this be the case. The use of artificial lighting may also be restricted or prohibited. In some cases, the photographing of parts or even all of the ceremony may be restricted or prohibited.
In such circumstances, the Client(s) agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. It is strongly advised by Lori Young Photography that the Client(s) make themselves aware of any rules/restrictions that may be specified by your chosen venue(s).

PHOTOGRAPHY SCHEDULE
a) In cases where our prearranged timeline becomes compromised or altered last minute (for example; extreme lateness due to traffic/etc), the Photographer cannot guarantee that all requested images will be captured. In such circumstances, the Photographer will do their utmost to achieve the best possible result.
b) It is recommended that the Photographer is provided with a helper (usually a close friend/family member) who will assist in pointing out key individuals to be photographed and help to organise those needed for any group photos.
c) The Client(s) agree to give the Photographer sufficient warning of key events taking place on the day such as speeches, cake cutting, bouquet throwing, sparklers/fireworks etc.
d) Any changes to the wedding location/venue or other important details must be submitted in writing to the Photographer as soon as possible. It is the Client(s) responsibility to confirm and reconfirm all arrangements/last minute changes at least one (1) week prior to the wedding date.

WEDDING GUESTS
a) The Photographer shall endeavour to photograph all individuals as requested by the Client(s), but no responsibility will be taken by the Photographer on the occasion of leaving somebody out.
The Client(s) understand that not all individuals like having their photo taken, nor can the Photographer be expected to know the importance of each individual or their relation to you. In such cases, the Photographer will use their discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of photos of such individuals.
b) Naturally, some of the guests will want to take their own photos throughout the day. However, in order to take the photographs required for the wedding services described within your booking, the Client(s) must agree to give the Photographer precedence over the guests. The Photographer cannot be held liable for a lack of wedding photos if guests taking their own photos have continually interrupted the photographer’s work.
c) An inconsiderate guest can ruin the documentation of your special day. Should it feel necessary, the Photographer will seek to have the individual dealt with either by the Client(s) or by a coordinator/member of venue management if appropriate. Coverage may be cancelled without warning at the discretion of the photographer if they in any way feel threatened or has reason to believe that equipment may be stolen/damaged.

b) Photos will be edited and shared with the Client(s) via an online gallery platform that shall be delivered via email within 10 weeks of your wedding date.
